Coffee Scrub

I like soft, silky, and cuddly things, while D loves gritty soap. I have never been inclined to such things; although, I am a sucker for advertising, which D will gladly confirm for you! When I saw “coffee scrub = cellulite scrub”, I decided I could get a little gritty! We’ll see how true that claim actually is after a few more uses.

I don’t drink coffee at home honestly because I have no machine, but I had purchased this small cup of ground instant coffee death a while back after first seeing the pin for this scrub experiment. I used only what I had at home, so some adjustments were made to the recipe I initially found.

After the first use, my skin feels good. I was blessed with many epidermis issues – - excema (dryness) to hyperhydrosis (wetness), tinnie tiny bumps on the backs of my legs, etc… but I’m not complaining! Healthy and happy with that!

With winter on the horizon, my feet start acting out, shall we say. This scrub does a good job of getting rid of any scruffiness, and I can see the most immediate difference on my soles. As for the back of my legs, those small bumps I talked about were irritated for a few minutes. The oil in the mix did help to sooth that, though. Most recipes say you can wash off any residue left behind, but I think that’s the best part! I really liked the softness that the oil left behind.

Next batch, I will invest in a better coffee selection. Imagine if I actually had to drink that instant stuff?! I feel sorry for my drain. Plus, investing in a superior blend will just make the mixture smell better! Other additions to try could be vanilla extract or coconut oil!
